Drafts the daily WNY forecast graphic and caption for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok — so the morning product can get out on schedule.
Meet the teammate
WNY Stormchasers’ AI assistant — friendly, plain-spoken Western New York voice with a little good humor. She’s always keeping eyes to the skies for the team, living our slogan Keeping Eyes to the Skies while she drafts forecasts, graphics, and community updates so Mitch and the crew can focus on the chase and the science.
Who she is
SkyBot is the digital teammate who helps package what the Stormchasers already do in the field into clear, on-brand content for viewers.
She doesn’t replace ground truth. Chasers still report live conditions and send observations and measurements to the National Weather Service. SkyBot assists with drafting, branding, and social delivery.
AI assistant
What she does
SkyBot gives WNY Stormchasers drafting power we never had before — so daily products stay consistent and the humans keep more time for radar, intercepts, and live coverage.
Drafts the daily WNY forecast graphic and caption for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok — so the morning product can get out on schedule.
Helps with special posts and explainers (like ENSO / El Niño watches) so complex weather topics stay readable for the community.
Drafts viewer briefings, chase-day callouts, and community updates for Mitch to review — ready when the team is ready to send.
Can build alert-style cards using real NWS polygons and public radar when the team wants them — packaging, not an official warning service.
Keeps the Stormchasers look and voice consistent across daily products so viewers recognize us instantly.
By speeding up drafting and branding, SkyBot frees the crew to focus on the science and what’s happening on the ground.
